Indigenous communities are on the frontlines of climate change yet often left out of climate solutions. In the drylands of Kajiado, women and youth walk miles for water, watch crops fail, and lose livestock due to drought. Eramatata Olmanyara™ is our response: a program focused on restoring ecosystems, protecting land rights, and building long-term resilience.
We empower women and youth to lead local conservation efforts planting trees, managing water sources, and defending ancestral lands. Our clean water projects include drilling boreholes and promoting WASH practices to reduce waterborne diseases. We also educate communities on climate change and environmental rights, ensuring they have both the knowledge and the power to act. Environmental justice for us means more than planting trees it means building a future where Indigenous people thrive on the land they have always called home.

Educating communities on environmental justice and advocating for women’s rights to own, access, and manage land.

Constructing boreholes and improving water, sanitation, and hygiene infrastructure to support healthier, more resilient communities.

Mobilizing schools and communities to plant trees, restore biodiversity, and protect Indigenous ecosystems.

Raising awareness on climate change adaptation and sustainability through workshops, school programs, and local dialogues.

Supporting women to lead local climate resilience efforts through sustainable farming, conservation, and clean energy initiatives.
Patinaai Osim is what Maasai women call someone who brings them joy. That’s what we aim to be for our communities.
